I don't remember(re: Black Numenorians), but I just went down to the ME forum and realized that there already exists there a trivia thread like the one I described: it's called "Tolkien/ Middle Earth quiz," and it's currently on page two of that forum. So anyone interested in reviving that, you can ask all the Appendix questions you want -- go for it!

Edit: Oh, Cirdan, I just saw your post -- I don't know how that was handled in that thread, but I think hints of that kind are always appreciated!
(BTW, everyone, if the existing thread there doesn't work for some reason, I think it can be worked out with a new thread or something, but I think the one should do just fine).

The goings at Isengard should warn us that we are caught in a great net and strategy. This no longer a bickering at the fords, raiding from Ithilien and from Anorien, ambushing and pillaging. This is a great war long plannned, and we are but one piece in it, whatever pride may say.

Sorry, it was neither Eomer or Gandalf. This was said by a minor character.

Well four days, maybe Ringbearer is ill. No disrespect intended, just want to keep this going.

Exactly what did Pippin have to eat while questioned by Denethor?

Oh, you're close and fast but not correct. That is what the men brought Gandalf and Pippin. Read the question again and I'm sure you'll get the answer Radagast.

Tricksy, it is, tricksy Spock. I think the answer is that Pippin actually ate nothing, the food was brought to him but he didn't get to eat it.

Pippin later tells Beregond that he had "no more than a cup of wine and a white cake or two". Radagast is close enough, isn't he?

Well spotted DoLC. I agree, Rad was pretty close, but DoLC seems to be on the ball, so perhaps DoLC should set a question? What do you think Spock?

LM, I tell you that if I had more time I would've crack it. But since I didn't have time - DoLC got it first. I'm convinced I would've crack it! I think... (I hope!)
