I LOVE George Carlin!! I saw him do a show years ago, at the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga ,Tennesse - I laughed so hard and for so long at that show that my facial muscles were as sore as if I'd been lifting weights with them. I remember this "names" piece, too, it was in something recent he did. Carlin's the BOMB!!

(since this is a busy thread I'm asking this question here, instead of beginning a new thread in Feedback.)

A mysterious thing has happened. I get replies from the "Experiencing JD syndrome..." thread but when I try to access it I'm told thru a message coming up that in effect I can't due to some problem with my account.

Answers would gratefully be received.

I was in bed all day yesterday and am still a bit afraid to eat anything.

You get fed up too easily, IMO.

It's another techie problem that we hope to solve shortly.

'Morning, dears! Here, Tree Dweller, a nice big mug of ginger-and fresh-mint tea, which will soothe your stomach considerably. Your name being Tree dweller, perhaps you'll share my maddened annoyance at these tree cutter guys right outside my door who've been at it all morning, chopping down and putting through the shredder the most beautiful tree on the property. Those swine!! My favourite birds kick it in that tree, and the squirrels love it too, and NOW these philistines have destroyed it. curse them, CURSE THEM! *shakes angry fist in general direction of the world's worst noise*

Snowdog! Good morning! So, Seattle's all miserably cold now, eh? That was fast. It's only early September. Man, sometimes I pine for Seattle, tho, just thinking about it. I LOVE that city. Well, here's a big Americano, brewed with Jamaican Blue Moiuntain & enhanced with a shot of espresso. That'll warm you up!

Spock! Ciao bello! Of course we've got Earl Grey on hand, one of my personal faves in the tea department. Here you go!

Mmmm... thanks! Well its Seattle... so September ushers in those 50° drizzly grey days. But it was a good summer run through July and most of August.

Of course, I live about 80 miles east of Seattle, which is smack dab in the middle of the Cascade mountains. Give a watch to that old TV show Northern Exposure. That church they had in it is across the street from my house.

Ahhh, thank you so much, Lotesse! It is delicious!

Speaking of cutting down trees....we had to cut down a leaning ok tree (which is a huge hazard with all these stinkin hurricanes) and now have a very angry displaced bird. He likes to sit on our fence and stare at us when we are doing yardwork, as if to make us feel bad everyday.

That I can easily envision a bird doing, looking at a human all crooked as if to say, "Hey, who do you think you are, taking my tree?" Poor bird! Tree cutters make me so upset.

... yeah, so do I. They did pay me $25 once to use an old 1952 GMC pickup in the show.. it was Adam's wedding episode. But they cut it all out except for its front fender in the background while a couple of the characters sat at a table talking.

This Blue Mountain is sure good! Almost as good as Huxdotters in North Bend!
