Thanks guys. Apparently it's an ear infection... they think they found her an antibiotic without too much corn product(s) in it, because she's pretty violently allergic to corn. I'm glad it's just an ear infection, but here's hoping the antibiotic doesn't make her really sick.

Between Oct. 6th and Oct. 20th, I'll be in Connecticut with the religious order I'm hoping to join, the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate. I'll be visiting their house there, spending time with about a dozen friars and novices. So please pray for my vocation discernment. I'm seeking to know God's will for my life, to know if He really is calling me to this order, as I think He is. So please pray that I listen with an open and humble heart, receive His guidance, whatever it may be, and follow it. I'd appreciate it! Thanks .
And another prayer request, this one aimed particularly at Christians: May God cleanse us of all divisions and unite us perfectly with one another in the fullness of His Way, Truth and Life. May the whole Church no longer be scattered and divided by pride, prejudice, fear, doctrinal error and contradiction, but may she be perfectly united, as Christ wills her to be (John 17:22). May all Christians be made perfectly one, and may all divisions cease. For Catholics or Orthodox in particular, may God bless the talks being held between our theologians and representatives in Vienna, as they discuss the role of the Papacy in the Church and seek unity and the end of the schism. Lord, please receive all these prayer requests and answer them all, according to your will as expressed in John 17:22, and according to your authority given to us as expressed in Matt. 21:22. And please bless my trip and vocational discernment, and give me your light, showing me what you mean for me to do with my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Please keep my dad and his side of the family in your prayers.
My grandmother fell today because her hip broke (she has osteoporosis, so apparently the hip broke before she fell) and luckily my dad was with her. So she's in the hospital, but his family is really... hostile. There are also other problems that we are now finding out about because of this situation. So prayers for her successful surgery and my dad's peace of mind would be greatly appreciated. |

Thanks guys. Although she's lucid, she's having some major heart problems, possibly due to the surgery, so she is (or was last I knew) still in ICU. There is some fear that she may not make it through, but I think that's more of a worst-case thing... It looks like she has a fairly strong chance of recovering but she is currently still having some major problems.

Someone who comes to the local Courage group is in a bad situation involving money and a prostitute. He could really use prayers.

Thanks, peeps. Of course, the prostitute could clearly use prayers, too; taking advantage of people the way he is isn't good for you, either spiritually or simply as a person.

I don't know why i was drawn here to reach out.. but here i am...
I have been in a relationship since the end of November. And tonight, forces outside of us are conspiring to tear it down. Those who are Christian here know what i mean. This is warfare, folks. Seriously... if this is over, i won't go on. I love him and i've already lost everything i've ever loved. I would despair. I need all the prayers i can get to save this relationship tonight. Love you guys.
