I like Lin's Australia Flag avatar. Nothing wrong with having and showing pride of where you live.

I like yours too JD, just because you've had it ever since I've been on the board. It's very familiar.

Ta, mate. I have it for two reasons- Australia Day tomorrow and to show support for the Australians I'm watching at the tennis tomorrow. *Waves miniature Aus flag* I bet you have a few US flags, eh?

Heheh, those avatars during the Mud Wrestling period were fun.

What was the Moot Rebellion? I bet it had something to do with that movie.

Are we still able to somehow see that old Legolas banner? 'Cause that was the ugliest thing I ever saw. Didn't it have orcs in it too? I missed the whole Entmoot becoming blue thing though.

I think I understand it now. You, Tessar, and the other members of the rebellion caused Entmoot to be retored to its proper Treebeard logo and colours. An important moment in Entmoot history. Tessar didn't get that demand of the lifting of the 90 and 120 sec rule, but it probably prevents spam. Or something.

Sorry . Once Lin had this 'conspiracy' and tried to convince everyone she was a guy.

Btw, I think Spock's avatars with Tom Baker aka the Fourth Doctor are great.

yeah and they were tyring to say how the mac and Unix were related to the devil too. Unix uses 666 for file security - because computers use binary. But they atributed it to the devil. Plus Unix was using this devil as their logo or something.

Here is the post on the history of my avatar -
Quote:

The Anti-theist Thread Post 84412

Quote:
ADDENDUM IV (4/21/2002): Apparently anti-Christian zealots -- as well as shocked Christians who have unwittingly become Mac owners -- are linking to this article, which explains the large number of emails we have received on this topic. More clues have come in showing the dark nature of Apple Computers. According to one of our readers, the new MacOS X contains another Satanic holdover from the "BSD Unix" OS mentioned above; to open up certain locked files one has to run a program much like the DOS prompt in Microsoft Windows and type in a secret code: "chmod 666". What other horrors lurk in this thing?
I also loved that one. Sorry to break the news to him - but computers work by numbers. Basically - the permissions for UNIX/Linux based systems are set by adding numbers together. The first number represents owner, second the group and last others. A 1 gives permission to excecute, a 2 permission to write and 4 permission to read. To give everyone read and write access to a file - you set it to 666. 2+4 for the owner, 2+4 for the group and 2+4 for everyone else. This is known as binary arthimetic - the heart of ALL computers. It is at the very basic level of the computer - and has nothing to do with satanism.

I loved the devil so much in his article - I had to use it for my avatar. How does everyone like it?
BTW - he's actually one of my favorite avatars - if not my favorite. But so many people were annoyed by this one - I couldn't resist but keep it. It seems as if the American flag being on my avatar pisses people off.

No - she was talking about last year when we had the entmoot rebellion. The entire site went to movie motif with all color changed for each different forum.

Pink and Purple Day was cool though.

Typically. Does New Jersey have a flag of its own? If so, maybe you could put it behind the little devil. Then it would be a real Jersey Devil. Anyway, now that I've seen this little devil again, I would certainly nominate it for best looking avatar.

Ah, now I remember. My mistake. Pink and Purple was more shocking, though.

Yeah it does. Each state has it's own flag.

I was thinking about doing something with the New Jersey flag for a new avatar. That is a pretty cool idea. The detail of the flag may get lose though when it's reduced to 60x60. I have to see.

Thanks. I've always liked him. He's cute looking I think and rather innocent looking.

It wasn't that shocking for me - since I was giving tater the color codes and telling him what to tell people were causing the problems. He really did not believe anyone would believe that the color experts were being called in to fix the problem and all the other stuff i told him. It was funny though.

Maybe you could just use the blue shield. *peers closer* Those are three plows on it, right?
