I do not think I ever flew on an Airbus. Boeing is more common among North American airline companies. Is there any significant difference between the two companies?

Each company makes different planes. Airbus recently released a plane that carry's more people(over 800)than victims in the deadliest plane crash(568) If 1 of those were to be lost over the ocean like a a320 witch is a older plane design of Airbus that was lost at sea in 2009 that would be disastrous.
If you want to know about the different planes search up 737 747 777 787 for Boeing and a320 a330 a340 a380 and there new not yet built yet jet... a350 BING or GOOGLE Hope that helps you decide Last edited by Alec : 02-06-2014 at 12:41 AM. |

I think your location is showing, Myself. I can't think of any other nation for which Boeing or Airbus is so much of an issue.
Not a frequent flyer myself at all -and if I had to choose- I'd vote for the company that manages the best without relying on their countries' official I'd almost say 'Lockheed' (not just to be contrary, I promise but) because that's the only one of the three of which I ever bought a model to build and that's still proudly displayed on my shelf, amids all the spaceships. That said, Boeing has some really nice vintage models. The superfortress (B-50?) and stratojet had character. Don't they have the Chinook as well? The commercial passenger transport just doesn't catch my eye the way military crafts do. |

I think I can even guess what particular part of a particular nation that Myself comes from. But that's OK.
Now, Myself (here I go, talking to Myself again) - if your main problem is that Airbus carries more passengers, and therefore the loss of a plane would be more catastrophic - should the objective be to have even FEWER passengers per flight? Maybe no more than 200? 100? 50?

So true I just love the B-17 and the old Lockheed prop planes. I have always thought prop planes are beautiful. I have also liked supersonic jets.

You guys got me. I live in a smaller town nearby Boeing in Washington.
I thing 250 is a good top number for aircraft passengers no more. over 800 is too much
