New The Hobbit Trailer!
Hereherehere!
It's... actually looking very good as far as I can tell. Moments from the book are in greater numbers than added scenes (which may be a calculated trick just for the trailer but hey). And I quite like to see Radagast, even if he will be part of the White Council story-line. "If the Baggins looses, we eats it whole." *beaming look* *thoughtful pause* "Fair enough." Rather hard not getting your hopes up with this. |

Well, I'll take it the absence of replies is due to everybody being smitten with awed silence.
(Because if anyone had had control over their voice -or keyboard, as it may be- you'd think there'd be someone who could have told me I had posted this thread in the wrong forum for a whole week...) |

The silence on my part is my computer's silence as it tries to access the site - again - and again - and again ...

I was just watching the trailer; again, and again, and again...
To try to watch it with all possible endings.

Thanks for sharing.
Right now I am not letting my hopes to soar too hight, but judging by the trailer we are pretty much into unforeseen surprises. P.S. Love that dwarves are not looking like comic relief. At least not all of them.

And I've finally seen the trailer - five times
The Dwarves seem to have been given some character. That's a good thing - yes, not basically comic relief. (Bombur was pretty much comic relief even in the book, wasn't he?) And since there are no humans in this first movie to be the weak ones ridden with self-doubt, Gandalf has to play that part

Oooohhh, it looks like it might have some of that real Middle Earth feel to it - hopefully enough to counter the bad moments that will inevitably come in *sigh*
But why are the dwarves so different looking? Some are rather good-looking, some are odd-looking, and some look like a 3-year-old did their make-up Anyway, here's hoping ...

The different endings were nice to see.
The previews are encouraging. Hopefully the movie lives up to its billing and is better than PJ's previous effort.

I am way psyched about this. I am for any Middle Earth movies that are reasonably well done. I suppose the "reasonable" part is the debatable part. Peace and goodwill.
