The range of the Wandering Companies
Is there any information on the range of the Wandering Companies journeys?
Thanks, AE

I do not recall seeing anything written about their intineraries. The only company we see written about is made of Amanyar Noldor ("We are Exiles"), and a good guess is that it moves mostly around northern Eriador, between Lindon, Imladirs, and the former Eregion, maybe sometimes crossing the Grey Mountains to LothLorien.
The "Hill People" north and west of Rohan would limit the companies access further south, and while the Silvan Elves east of the mountains would not be hostile, but their general populace would not roll out the welcome map for Noldor (but their leadership would be more welcoming).

The one destination we know of is the Tower and seaward looking palantir on the Tower Hills near the border of the Lindon and The Shire. We do not even have it clearly whether there were permenant or persistant wandering companies, or that is just a term for an organized group of evles going on a journey or pilgramage. Michael Martinez opines that the name applies to both situations, going back all the way to the First Age.
