A Poem
Iluvatar was world-maker, sung it out from nothingness
Melkor became song-breaker, the evil force he harnessed Into the world he went, searching for Flame Imperishable Instead he found dark creatures, all fell and terrible Contending with Eru, he fell Melkor has arisen Entire Age of struggle, The Dark against The Light Caught in between, the First and Secondborn will fight Heroes will rise and fall, two greatest against them all Gil-Galad and Elendil rose to settle it once and for all King of Man was smitten, his son rose to avenge Isildur took the ring of power, an heirloom for all his kin The desire for the glory, the need for the gold This was the undoing of this great king of old Hobbit found the ring, enjoyed the power of not being seen Wise Gandalf told him of it's lure, then locked it tight through bar and door Time proved an enemy, ate away through century The Dark Lord has awakened, he desires his treasure Sending out dark riders, taking every measure Many long trials the Fellowship is faced with They prove to be stronger than the hardened steel Up Orodruin they walk, up that accursed hill Destroy the ring forever, the enemy laid to rest The heavy burden no longer present, upon mighty Frodo's chest A dark is still present, lying under the surface All dark creatures Morgoth calls, servants to his service Dormant for many years, alive but near forgotten He uses this in his ploy, a ruse to kill them all The root of all evil, hater of all which is good If he had the power to destroy us all, he would The Valar Host will rise, and to the field of darkness send Turin to destroy him, before the world is end A new Music is created, a new world is come The sun and moon are shining The second creation done
