Poll: Please Help!
I need your opinion about a certain circumstance:
My friend's house needs new carpet in the upstairs area. There are a lot of stains in it, and it simply needs replacing. Upstairs, there are 3 rooms along a hallway: the boys' room, my friend's room, and the little girls' room. My friend's mom wants to put leopard carpet in all of the rooms, and her dad claims to agree. All of the kids, however, hate the idea of leopard carpet, no matter how nice it is. The boys think it's girly and ugly, and the rest of the kids have their own reasons for disliking it. Should my friend's mom put the carpet in despite the kids' pleas and obvious dislike of the carpet she wants to put in? Or do the kids have a point and a right in the choice of the carpet in their rooms?

Leopard carpet is a horrible idea, period. I'm surprised it even exists. It's a very spotty risk to take, in my opinion.
So, in essence I cast my vote NO: they should not install it. And of course you kids have a say in it all!

The mom says the reason she wants the leopard carpet is because it doesn't show spots...which it doesn't...but still.

Kind of a leading poll, isn't it?

Tell your friend's mom that leopard carpet will make the house extremely difficult to sell because it is indeed ugly, and that a much more aesthetic hider of spots is something like dark green or navy or other color berber carpet - easy to clean as well. That is what we have at my house and it's nice, but very serviceable.
Just on principle, I don't think the kids have much in-put because they are kids, under their parents' authority, but I also think that lapses of judgment which involve leopard print carpet are not wise at all.

What Midge said. There are other, less scary, options.

Why not get a plastic floor covering? That way future stains may be prevented, not merely hid. And if the current carpet is that stained, the new carpet is not going get an easier run.

Leporad carpet is a no go. That is the worst idea ever! Put in a dark color if she doesnt want it to show spots.

I sincerely can't get over how terrible that idea is. I've never understood animal prints on clothes, for instance, anyway, but on carpet?? Who thinks up these things?

Yeah, the first photo looks like there was a huge leopard fight in the house, with maybe a few hairballs being chucked around.

On a different note: I always managed to get out all spots, even red wine and blood. The only spot I couldn't get out of my carpet was the scorchmark I found after my beloved sub-renter had moved out...
The trick is to have the Internet at hand.
