"Devil's Plaything"
Pursuant to the warm welcome I've received, and in the spirit of immediate and shameless self-promotion, I'd like to share a little story I had written some time ago called "Devil's Plaything".
It's something of an alternate-universe tale by necessity, chronicling the events of the Black Numenoreans of the Third Age, and namely their rebellion against Sauron and collaboration with Gondor during the War of the Ring. Naturally, I've taken a liberty here and there and stretched a few things a little, but this was one of those pieces of writing that had to be written, and for myself, was as much a cathartic exercise as it was a Tolkien fan working out how he might see himself in Middle-Earth (as well as an off-handed tribute to the Master himself). To the reader, I hope you enjoy |

I've only read the first act so far, as I will have to read the rest later, but I'm intrigued. You write well and the subject is an interesting one. I haven't seen a story out of the viewpoint of the Black Númenoreans under Sauron's rule yet. I'm looking forward to reading the rest at some later time.
Oh, and welcome to the Entmoot.

I realised just now I had never continued reading your story, Varokhâr, but the link seems to be dead now.

We're in the midst of upgrading things over at the Land of Numenor so the fact that the old link is dead doesn't surprise me. I'll remind my dear brother to come over here and update his link.
