What's your English name then? Something about God should be, but I can't guess it.

My "real" name is Elizabeth. I can't quite remember what it means, but you're right, Legolas, it has something to do with God. That much I do know.
BTW, I am the REAL Legolas! (I wish...)

Sadly, my real name does not mean ANYTHING at all. It's just imagination of some writer who used that name in his poem about 150 years ago.

Really? What's your name? I mean, you don't have to tell me, I'm just curious. . .maybe it does mean something. Or do you have a middle name? Or you could just pick your favorite elven name without being stuck with the meaning of the name your parents gave you...well, not stuck, but anyway. ..

It's no secret. My real name is 'Kastytis', and the only possible meaning comes with the verb 'kasti' - 'to dig'... Dunno what would this mean though. But my Christ-name is 'Antanas', meaning something like 'flower boy' in ancient Greek. Thus, my elven name would be 'Lotion'. And I have no middle name.

Eruviel, Elizabeth means "God is my oath", i.e. my covenant, the One I swear by.
I can't find the meaning of my real name in Elvish. It's Jennifer which can mean "fair lady" or "white wave" but can also mean "shining spirit" and that's the meaning I want translated but I can't find it. My middle name is boring in Elvish--Faith is Dur.
By the way, Vanimdil means "one who loves beauty" or "one devoted to beauty."

Eruviel & Vanimdil; I learned Elizabeth means "Consecrated to God", just to expand on that idea a bit. Earunyauve is the translation I believe. (I am an Elizabeth too )

Another Elizabeth! Wow! Yeah, that's what I remember it meaning, "Consecrated to God." Huh. I don't particularly like it, but oh well. It sounds nice in English and Quenya, so I suppose it's okay. I know it's Erunyauve in Quenya, but it sounded so long, and I like -iel endings, that's why I'm Eruviel. (But I'm actually Legolas. . .nevermind.)

Legolas (yes, the one that isn't me )--You could be an archeologist and dig up stuff from Middle-earth! *ooh, look, a Numenorean clay pot!

Eruviel - LOL! Haven't thought of such a nice idea. (I may also dig some secret Tolkien writings and publish LotR4: The Return of Morgoth )
Also, stop talking who's the real Legolas!

P.S. I am the first Legolas on the moot (at least I think so), so I'm the real one

Thanks, Earenya!

Sorry, Legolas, I'll stop with the Real Legolas stuff. I suppose if you were the first one here, then I'll have to, especially considering I'm pretty new! But--I am indeed Legolas in spirit, and perhaps there's more than one of us who feels that way here

My last P.S. was just a joke, really. I may be the first guy here with Legolas as a name, but this does not prove anything. However, I do also feel like Legolas in spirit, so you're right - there are more than one Legolas-spirited guy here

Oh good I know, I didn't really think you were that serious! It's nice to know I'm not the only Legolas-ish person in the world! (or maybe not. . .j/k)
