My eye is aching badly from staring at the computer screen so long finishing my last Final so late at night. The eye-ache is a trifle annoying, so I thought I'd mention it here.
But the Finals being done is excellent. Tomorrow I'll be close enough to conscious to generate some real emotion about it. Tonight I can't generate any emotion. Too late, too achy, too, too sleepy . It has been quite a good day though, overall .

I'm sorry to hear about Jinx, Earnie. I really hope he pulls through. *Gives Earniel a Moothug*
Why is it everyone thinks a slender woman can't handle a 50 pound photo paper magazine!? I've lifted heaver boxes full of frozen chicken pieces, but the moment I start to pic up a mag, i hear, "That's too heavy for you. Let me do it," I don't mind the help every once and a while, but constantly? I finally was able to drill into our guy's head, I wasn't going to break lifting it. But the guys from electronics can't seem to get it. And I'm really getting tired of the "wind's gonna blow you away if you walk outside right now" For Heaven's sake! I'm not 90 pounds, I'm 120. Am I'm not skin and bones! I am really getting tired of the sterotypes

I'm sorry Earniel .
I am so friggin' frustrated with my voice right now. I can sing up to an A#4, and if I really pull it I know I can hit the Tenor's high C. So why does everything that I try to do above a D#4 sound like crap!?!?!?! I don't -feel- any tension... I watch myself in the mirror and I don't really see anything bad going on... But the instant I get to that E4 I sound like complete and utter crap. I mean the rest of my range sounds better than it ever has, which makes me happy, but I want/need those friggin' high notes. I know I have them, they just sound like crap. |

You know, it's rather ironic, he was finally eating a little better. But some things can't be helped. If nine years is all he can have, at least it will have been nine nice years. And not every kitten that's starts out life by being dumped in a cardboard box by the highway, can get even that.

Vent: I haven't been sleeping much this weekend (my own choice) and as I only have experiments to do in the afternoon, I thought I'd sleep in and rest. But what happens? I wake up at the same time as every morning and am completely awake. A very pathetic rant, I know. It's a nice day, though, stupid to sleep through it..

Acally, I know that situation (though I'm most certainly not 120 pounds, you can add a few to that )
Nauti... What kind of weirdo was that!?!?

Hey Acally- Had a similar situation at work today, but the other way around. I was lugging a huge crate of sawhoreses to an verhang, and this itty-bitty fella tries to come along and take it. I tell him, "No, man. It's really heavy."
To which he responds, "I'm your manager, now move, and let me get this done right." Last I saw him, they were taking him to the hospital, threw his itty-bitty-manager back out.

Okay so I moved back in with my parents. My room already had stuff in it, but since I moved out my family has dumped a lot of stuff there and now the boxes with all my stuff from my room are placed in it too.
I need to sort it out, because I have to live there for at least a year. And now I'm not allowed to throw stuff out because that makes a mess? Hello!? You've been dumping it all in my room, so now I'm dumping things out of my room to live in it. Deal with it, it's NOT going to stay in my room! >_<

Oh, why does life have to be so complicated. X) How do you know when friendship turns into something else, and when it's worth risking the friendship for this? I'm utterly confused by this person, and even more so by myself. Argh.
I sort of enjoy it, though - as long as he's still my best friend. That's really all that matters.

I'm sorry you're in such a situation, Nerdanel. That's really, really tough.
I know this might seem weird, and I'm kind of conflicted about it... but... Well the vent itself is that I just wish people would stop turning songs (particularly ones like Over the Rainbow) that are supposed to be sweet and gentle and turning them into power belter ballads. I know people love hearing some good, loud belting... and I do to. So I guess if the music is bringing people joy that's a good thing. But I feel like it could bring them so much more joy if the singer would just interpret the music better. Like... Okay this is how I see it: You can bake a cake, and people will probably love it. But if you put icing on that cake, they'll think it's AMAZING. But it's like people are being given a gigantic cake, and so now they're just gorging themselves on it... so they don't appreciate a smaller but more satisfying cake with all of the icing and special stuff on it--they just see it and say, "Oh, that cake is too small." .... okay so that's the worst analogy ever. Point is: people who aren't really musical should SHUT UP and stop ruining my favorite songs . |
