I must admit the thought has occurred to me that this place might be a bit more happening if the view/post ratio were > 30:1.
But hey - Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! :dude: |

"Midnight Rider" by the Allman Brothers
Well, I've got to run to keep from hiding, And I'm bound to keep on riding. And I've got one more silver dollar, But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no, Not gonna let 'em catch the Midnight Rider. And I don't own the clothes I'm wearing, And the road goes on forever, And I've got one more silver dollar, But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no Not gonna let 'em catch the Midnight Rider. And I've gone by the point of caring, Some old bed I'll soon be sharing, And I've got one more silver dollar, (Repeat three times and Fade) But I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no Not gonna let them catch the Midnight Rider. Do you think maybe this is a Tolkien inspired song? Some lines could very easily apply to Frodo: Run to keep from hiding, Gone by the point of caring. Others to Bilbo: Don't own the clothes I'm wearing, One more silver dollar (a silver dollar being a symbol of luck). Others to both: Not gonna let 'em catch me, and especially The road goes on forever. |

Just the title of this thread alone is worth commendation. Tolkien AND The Allman Brothers brought together in one thread! Nice job.
