The Snow Men of Forochel
I was wondering if there is more information about the Snow Men of Forochel, which are mentioned in David Day's Illustrated Encyclopedia of Tolkein, and all it said was that they were the descendants of the Forodwaith, who I do not know much more about either. They are supposedly mentioned in the Red Book of Westmarch, any other information would be gladly appreciated.

The only concrete information I can think of is in the Appendix I at the end of LoTR, in the paragraphs concerning Arvedui, the last King of Arnor. When he's driven from his land, he takes refuge for a while with the snow-people. But it's precious little information there all the same.

There is also a footnote # 22 to the Appendix A telling that
