Try "The Atlas of Middle-earth" by Karen Wynn Fonstad.
Btw, I had to edit your username. Didn't quite seem appropriate .

theres another book called "Journeys of Frodo", by Barbara Strachey, which has excellent maps, and all of the fellowships routes and times are recorded.

If you get Fonstad's book make sure it is the revised edition.

Ñólendil - Does it say revised addition on it, or does it have a different cover or something like that?

I have an older "revised" edition. I love it!!!
The newer one has a black cover... According to Michael Martinez thought, it is still full of errors. But I still love it!! |

It should say 'Revised Edition' on the cover.

Speaking of the maps, the ones in the paperback editions of LotR since 1988 are absolutely pathetic. I have no idea why they threw out the original Christopher Tolkien maps. Any ideas, anyone?

A moral of the whole (after the primary symbolism of the Ring, as the will to mere power, seeking to make itself objective by physical force and mechanism, and so also inevitably by lies) is the obvious one that without the high and noble the simple and vulgar is utterly mean; and without the simple and ordinary the noble and heroic is meaningless."
