I Loved that book, did you know they were going to make another movie about that. They were going to start filming it later this year.

Imagine dredging up this old thread...
I don't even come on this site anymore....er...normally....but did you guys know that Peter S. Beagle isn't getting paid any of the money he should be for "The Last Unicorn" tapes or dvds that were sold this past year, or anything from the rights to the live Last Unicorn movie, which were sold for a quarter of a mil? I was just over at neilgaiman.com and found this link there. It explains it better than I would. Anyone who is a Peter S. Beagle fan would probably be interested in it. And if they're not, well like I said, I don't even come on this site anymore. Hehe. Hope you're all doing well, though. ANYWAY:
rather upsetting

I had The Last Unicorn movie when I was little. I haven't seen it since I was 5 or 6 but I still remember most of the scenes and some of the Quotes and I'm 19 now! I didn't know it was based on a book. Now where did I put my libary card.....hmmm maybe I need to go to Hastings. Or B&N.

I took an upper level English course in university on the topic of the Fantasy lit genre and that's where I first discovered The Last Unicorn (and Earthsea for that matter). We read it alongside all of LotR and the Earthsea books. It was great course taught by a very enthusiastic professor. Last Unicorn is a great book. I think I liked it best of all the books we read in that course, perhaps because LotR was a chore to absorb in its entirity in one month while doing a double overload of courses of which 5 were English.
