On Lake Nenuial
Did Elendil ever sail up the Baranduin to Lake Nenuial? Did other Dunedain? Or did they do their sea-borne travel by the River Lhun?
Anyone know anything about Lake Nenuial? Did the Dunedain sail or fish there? Was there a port or fishing camp at Annuminas? Other villages/cities scattered around the coasts? |

I don't know much about Annuminas, other than that it was sort of the capitol of Arnor in its day. It was repopulated in the Fourth Age, and Elessar stayed there off and on.

Ship-travel between Arnor and Gondor used Tharbad as a port, so I'm not sure that the Baranduin could be navigated by sea-going vessels. It certainly doesn't sound like one of those huge rivers. In fact, Sarn Ford was located on the border of the Southfarthing. You can't take a deep-water vessel past a ford (which is a shallow region of a river where people and animals may cross, although the crossing may be dangerous).

I think the ferry was strictly a Brandybuck thing. The Buckland was colonized centuries after the fall of Arnor.
