Purple Smoke!
A progectile which released purple smoke has been thrown from the gallery for dignitories at the House of Commons during PMQs. The projectile hit Mr Blair and the chancellor. Apparently it was a demonstration by 'Fathers for Justice', a group wanted greater rights for fathers, especially in divorce cases. A member from the group recentl climbed a crane in a Spiderman suit. The group is seen as harmless.
Initial tests show the substance thrown is benign, but how responsible is a protest of this nature in the current political climate? It's barely worth mentioning, it's just I'm on study leave...

Yeah, I've just been watching that on the news. A couple of demonstrators won seats at the VIP section (infront of the screen thats meant to protect the polititians), from an auction. Only one hit him on the back. Shame it wasn't a brick....

Throwing things at politicians is a great tradition, particularly in British politics. I have to say that my opinion of John Prescott went up after he slugged the bloke that threw an egg in his face.
It would be a disaster if they barred the public from Parliament as a result. They are far enough removed from ordinary people as it is. |

I'm sorry Millane, I didn't understand a word of that.
It was interesting how people's opinion of John Prescott generally rose after his left jab. Why do you think that is? Is it the way he could be seen as more human by it, someone who actually feels emotion? (Besides hunger!)

sorry what didnt you understand? bong or tampons? Beetroot juice in a bong was supposed to turn the smoke purple and when the GST was being introduced into Australia and they were going to apply it to tampons there was an uproar and some woman showed there disapproval by chucking tampons at John Howard

Goods and Services Tax, apparently some people think that tampons are a necessity, like soap and razors, but Mr Howard thought they lent more to the "wants" side of things like chocolate shows what dickheads make australias taxes

For me it was mainly because it shows him to be a man with a bit of balls. It was a very intimidating episode and he showed gutsy instincts. The fact that the mullet-head would clearly have given him a sound kicking if his minders hadn't intervened is neither here nor there. Didn't Bob Hawke hold the world record for beer drinking at some point? Something like 3 pints in 6 seconds was the rumour I heard about 20 years ago. Now there's a Prime Minister you can look up to! Draken, you're on a bit of a comedy roll today (I saw your Tarantino Bond script on that thread). Keep 'em coming! |

Aww very dark but very funny Draken.
Boris Johnson would be a PM to look up to. He would be the best. No question. Hmm... I don't think that mullet dude would have had Prescott, I think he lacked the brute force. Plus, surely the jab was an instinct, not a brave decision (like, I dunno, invading Iraq )
