Psycho! (original...of course!)

This movie's cinematography is sooo cooool! Watch it again, and look for its characters being framed, for example, almost every time you see a major character they are framed by something, like a window frame, a doorway, a windshield...etc! It was a trick used by Hitch to get the audience to focus on the character!

Saw that for the first time the other day on AMC, I think. It was surprisingly good.

I love that movie. Alfred Hitchcock was brilliant, especially considering the limited technology and techniques they had back then. There's this great quote by him that my friend told me, along these lines: you can watch some guys talking about baseball for five minutes, and then have a moment of shock when the building they're in blows up. Or, you can watch the bomb being put into the building, then watch guys talk about baseball for five minutes until at last the building blows up. Five minutes of excrutiating suspense.

It's one of the movies that everybody's seen except me.

I've only watched three or four Hitchcock films... I found that they were all "okay", except North By Northwest which was just fantastic.

'North By Northwest' is superb. The crop duster scene is still considered, today, as exceptional.
