Physical Deformities
Recently my interest has been in deformities... I think some of them can be quite suppressing, and they can probably cause messed up social lives and misjudgements and such. Some of them are a bit wild, i.e. multiple nipples....
Here is a question that has been on my mind lately... what if someone was born with the 'lobster hands' deformity and was also deaf? How would they sign? http://phreeque.tripod.com/grady_stiles.html (you can navigate around that site a bit, there's some information about different 'freak's ((What a stupid word...)).)

Lord Byron had a deformed foot and was the famous sex icon of his age (early 19th century) and, being bisexual, had men and women throwing themselves at him.

i was reading some of the bios and most of them it seems like they led normal lives, like a couple of them got married and had normal kids, its ironic that this came because in my english class we are reading the chrysalids which is all about this kind of thing except none of these people are excepted, i know one person with some deformity and that its that he only has three fingers on his hands and three toes on his feet, and people dont even notice it but that isnt as extreme as the ones on that site

I know someone at school who only has stubbs for fingers (I don't know the pc term), but he's treated normally, and is a very good chess player and interesting a finger spinner. A bowler in cricket who spins the ball with the fingers.
Also Anne Boleyn had six fingers, one for each of her husband's wives...

I know a few people with physical deformities... I know someone with 4 nipples... a friend of mine has an uncle who is pretty deformed, I think he was born without fingers or something so they cut off his toes and put them for fingers, and his body is shaped really odd and he has to sort of waddle, his limbs are shaped oddly, his legs are crooked or something and he holds his arms in strange positions, and his face is deformed... and on top of that he is mentally retarded... I really don't know the story behind that... I know a girl with webbed hands and feet... I am sure I know more people with deformities but none that I can think of right away
