John Ritter died

John Ritter died at 54. This is surprising and shocking. He had an aneurism that popped. He got sick on the set of his show and didn't know that he had a serious problem.

He starred in the sitcom "Three's Company", acted on broadway, movies, etc. He currently has a hit TV show - "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Daughter" or just known as "8 Simple Rules". He would have been 55 next week.

Him and Bob Saget kind of go hand in hand for making crappy sitcoms.

Bob Saget is just annoying. John Ritter did a lot more serious acting - such as on Broadway. He wasn't in that many sitcoms.

This is very sad. I wasn't big on Three's Co., but I liked him in the story of Frank Baum, It, and of course Sling Blade. I think he was a good actor despite the silly plot of Three's Co. I never have seen the new sitcom he was doing. I guess they'll have to cancel it, huh?

Yes, I think that was the first "big" thing he did after Three's a Crowd was cancelled or whatever.
I heard that "Three Simple Rules..." will be on the air despite the death of its star. I'm surprised at this, and predict that it will be cancelled mid-season, as JR was what held it together, from what I've heard. But I guess they have to try.

I really liked him as an actor. Does anyone remember the movie where he was a writer who was addicted to sex and drank too much? Where he had the fight with the glowing condomes?

In "IT" I liked him, too.

Yapaluna, that movie was called "Skin Deep". I wasn't terribly impressed with it - definitely not John Ritter's best work (tho the glowing condom scene was infamously funny!)

What a loss...
