Re: re
okay, you all may not know the quote, but at leats you could guess the author: i've said it's a phantasy book and you can guess it's from England cuz it speaks about pounds...
... and it's not from Harry Potter's books |

re: a hint
You have just encapsulated my reasoning on it with your last post, lol
I was going to guess Harry Potter, since nothing else came to mind, but at least that possibility is now eliminated Aaarrrrgggghhhhhh!!!! Is it from one of the Narnia books? It does not quite sound like a Narnian comment, but I am at a loss, so I will just take a swing at it. All I know for sure is that I have heard that quote before this post, and not too long before at that. Have a nice day |

"Through the Looking-Glass"
The voices didn't join in this time, as she hadn't spoken, but to her great surprise, they all thought in chorus (I hope you understand what thinking in chorus means--for I must confess that I don't), 'Better say nothing at all. Language is worth a thousand pounds a word!'
'I shall dream about a thousand pounds tonight, I know I shall!' thought Alice I'll think of one to put here later... |

Re: "Through the Looking-Glass"
Well, while juntel is thinking one up, I'll do one just to keep the game going...I'm too impatient to wait.
"Believe? I do not believe, I know, that your queenship drank his blood year by year and ate out his life." It was difficult to find a memorable but not to obvious quote from this book, because most of the plot takes place within the main character's mind...There! now you have a clue. |
