Fruits
I am studying botany, and would like to discuss fruits. What does everybody think? Did you know that raspberries and strawberries are not officially berries? Blueberries are, and so are bananas, oranges, tomatoes, and green peppers. I have made a very amateur outline/discussion of the classifications online: Fruits! So if you want to see how some different fruits and "vegetables" are classified, it's pretty interesting.
Hey, why are you looking at me funny? |

Re: Fruits
What is the relation between the kiwi fruit and the banana fruit? I've heard that one comes from a cross from the other an another fruit, but I forget which.
Or was I dreaming? (PS: Of course I meant a cross between the plants, not the fruits themselves!) |

Re: Fruits
I like citrus fruits, like oranges and grapefruits. I also like to suck on lemons .
My family grows raspberries in our yard. I like those too. Other good fruits are strawberries, winesap and other sweet apples, pineapples, the small bluberries, and some types of grapes. I don't particularly like bananas. |

Re: Fruits
Oooh...fruit. Well, lets see, I like blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, peppers, red apples (green apples are okay, but are just to tart and acidy to eat alone...i like them with peanut butter), kiwis, pineaple, bananas are okay, grapefruits, oranges, grapes, tomatoes, plantains, and much more. Some just aren't on the top of my head.

Re: Fruits
Hmm.... I like citrus a lot, especially grapefruit and lemons. I also like fresh pineapple (much better than canned), kiwi, mangoes, red apples, and all berries. Not banana, though.... it's the one fruit I really don't care for.

Re: Fruits
Oh yeah, how could I forget about blackberries?
In general, I like sour and tart fruit better than sweet fruit |

Re: Fruits
I have lately been drawn more toward the more acidic fruits and fruit juices. I love that moment when you have to screw up your face because the tart and sweet flavor is taking possession of your tongue. I can't help it--I have to make a face when eat pineapple. Art is not just communicated by sight or sound, but by taste, smell, and touch as well. And an orange is one of the greatest masterpieces of God+evolution+breeding! :-D

Re: Fruits
I like all berries....especially raspberries, with chocolate drizzled on top......YUMMY! I don't care much for citrus fruits, however, orange, lime, and lemon flavors are my favorites (like in candy, jello, kool-aid, etc.)
