Boring parts? There are no boring parts! Not in The Silm! They only chapter I skipped was the one describing Beleriand.
Of course there are. Turin's story is very boring in the third or forth time. And other stories as Earendil and the last war. These parts were very interesting ones, until I reread them.

What? Sorry. *cannot hear you..* Those bits are all my favourites! How dare you. If rereading parts of Tolkien's works make them lose their grandeur, stop reading them. Duh!

Thank you. I like your new avatar pic btw. Thank you too, Radagast.

I know I read really really slow, but I just read The Steward and the King, and the book changed. Now at its end I'm getting more involved as there are so many joyous events. It's great! That's just more proof that Tolkien is the fantasy god.

That's why I don't read these parts in the Sil. Because I've read them too many times....

...umm, I just finished TTT. And since I have to borrow each 'book' from the library separately, I can hardly await RotK. When I finished FotR(it was on some Saturday), I went straigth into 'coffee coma'('OMG i don't haev the next! OMG I don't have the next! NNOOOoooooooo! must.. have.. next');

on the other hand, I really don't want it to end 'cause it's sssoooo nice!

besides, I thougth it would be sad, but is it really THAT sad you people say?

oh well(I'll hold my breath till Wednesday, maybe RotK will be in the library!! wish me luck)

i read lotr for the first time 21 years ago when i was 10. i started reading it on may 20th (i remember this cause its written on the sleeve). so as a testament to my obsession i begin re reading every may 20th....am currently reading a tolkien bestiary by david day. which is really quite good.

I'm rereading Lord of the Rings for the 13th time. Unlike Aralyn - I only read them as Lord of the Rings - so I read it from Fellowship to Return of the King.

I'm on "The Sign of the Prancing Pony".
