Alright, I caught the lsat bit of E! news and I caught it on "...82 year old Lord of the Rings star has died."

Is that true, or was I hearing things?

I went to E!'s website and they didn't have anything there. I hope you were just hearing things.

I looked around last night, and Ian MacNaughton (director of Monty Python's Flying Circus) died last month, apparently from injuries suffered some time ago in a car accident.

You were thinking about Ian McKellen? I was thinking about Christopher Lee. He's 80-something years old, you know. I don't think McKellen is quite that old.

Lee is 82 (I think!) but definately not dead- it'd be all over the TV if it was and I've seen nothing on the news or teletext or anything. Probably some mistake or a kick back from the loss of Richard Harris and someone getting the characters, films etc mixed up! Let's just keep our fingers crossed that a bit of the old immortal elf magic has rubbed off on the whole LOTR cast- especially someone as cool as Mr Lee!! Mx

Nobody is dead, whoever started this topic was dillusional at the time.......... if he/she did here anything about anyone dying, it was probably Richard Harris.

You don't think that if someone had actually died it would be all over the news and all over this board? Like several topics in various forums and not just a small vague one in a non-tolkien related forum.
