Rift War series

I didn't find anything on these books when I searched so I am going to start a thread on these books.

I am reading the Rift War series by Raymond E. Feist right now and am wondering if people have read it and what they think of it. The first two books in the series are Magician: Apprentice and Magician: Master. The rest I do not remember the names of. He wrote these two first and then chose to expand on it. So the first two are a complete story, but the other ones are also there.

From how far I am, I like them. They are very interesting and have elves, dwarves, and men. Magicians also of course.

Magician is on my reading list, but I dont' see myself getting to it any time in the foreseeable future... too much to read, too little time.

I just finished Magician: Master. It was fabulous. Same with the first.

It's been a good few years since I read it, but I remember that the author can tell a pretty good story, however inelegantly written. Plenty of pages, though, but one worth a look, beardy, it's not too derivative.
