Um, may I ask why you're asking? Is this for a trivia thing?
I'll answer just the first one for now, as I was just reading about Chryosophylax last night to my kids - he's the dragon in JRRT's story "Farmer Giles of Ham".

Anyway if you do know the answer to the other question it would be great to have an answer thanks! |

Lamps of the Valar
The two great globes, Illuin and Ormal made by the Valar to light the Earth in the spring of Arda. The Lamps were wrought by Aule filled with light by Varda and hallowed by Manwe and were set atop great pillers of stone . Trees of Valinor White Telperion and Laurelin the Golden, one of the Greatest creations of the Valar. Created by the song of power of Yavanna and the tears of Nienna, the Trees were born when Valinor was fully established. They grew on the Ezellohar, outside the western gates of Valmar, whence their light illuminated Valinor, Eldamar, and later Tol Eressea |

That is from the Complete Guide to Middle-earth by Robert Foster. I had typed that up in the same thread that had been posted in the LotRs forum which I eventually deleted.
Foster has good reference material.

unregistered, "Trees of Valor" is some kind of error -- either "Trees of the Valar" is meant, or "Trees of Valinor", though I do not remember either title being used of the Two Trees (located in Valinor, where the Valar, the Authorities of the World, lived, admittedly).
