I'd say in no specific order, Steve Harris from Iron Maiden, Cliff Burton 80's Metallica, Joey Demaio from Manowar, John Paul Jones from Zeppelin, Flea and Buckethead, hehe.
Best basslines ever = The Lemon Song, Orion and Battery. I don't think most Punk or nu-metal bassists count because most of their basslines are just the guitar parts doubled an octave lower. |

John Entwhislte (ex- The Who)
Especially on the Tommy and Quadraphenia albums. "The Who had the wildest drummer, the most hansome singer and the best songwriter in the world...........I decided early that I couldn't compete with the other three in those departments so I sat down, practised hard and became the best musician" - John Entwhistle (modest as ever) |

I have a question (off topic) -- what happened to Jason Newstead? Did he quit the band, get kicked out, or what? And why?

he went to ozzy after he left metallica. so it was like him and trujillo switching and i think he got kicked out because he was having drinking problems and had problems with the other members of the band
