The Lathe of Heaven
I recently finished The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin, and I was wondering if anyone else has read it. I found it very interesting. George Orr, the main character, has the advantage/problem of his dreams becoming reality. He is sent to a sleep-specialist, because he has been taking drugs to keep him from sleeping. A relationship developes between the two, and the doctor tries to control the powers in order to do good, but ends up twisting the world up, by hyponotizing (sp?) him.
Has anyone else read it? |

There are even two movies made from it. I've read all of LeGuin up till the 90's, after that she changed into a person who wants to blame men for women's problems, and that gets old. Not that men aren't to blame, but there is a slight chance that women cause some of their own problems. But Lathe is from before that period so I loved it, when I was a fan.
