I know it sounds crazy and irrelevant but...... Hairdryers.
I feel this forum need a new and weird thread. So I strawberry Ice Cream, mad strawberry of the moot, took up the request of my fellow entmooter, Eowyn144 to start a hairdryer thread. Yes indeed you did read right, a hairdryer thread. Now before the admins close it down, would you care to explain more Eowyn144?
For i think you should say something as you are in the partnership of the thread.

ok. strawberry. thankyou. i think i can take it from it here.
basically i was just having some weird loony type thoughts and was thinking how a lot of the special effects in lotr could have been created using a hairdryer. for example: ~at the beginning when Sauron is defeated and all of the orcs fall over=hairdryer blowing them down ~when Galadriel is passing her test and her hair goes whacko=guy with a hairdryer standing behind her ~in Bree when Frodo slips over and the ring mysteriously hovers in the air for a bit=guy with a hairdryer underneath it all makes sense. trust me. or at least it did when i thought about it,but i guess i was kind of full of cake at the time. any one else think of any hairdryer moments?

I agree
Did you see the French and Saunders version? They used a hairdryer for the Sauron bit at the beginning. They also used ants for the orcs. It was really funny- hilarious really! |

When the ringwraiths are chasing arwen, yet she seems to keep in front by a certain amunt all the time, so logically hairdryers are holding them back.
There are nine hairdryers needed for that one!! Who can think of a moment needing more *silence* heh heh heh! I win! Oh wiat, it wasn't a competition...*goes and gets hot chocolate to reward self*

i did see the French and Saunders version. thats partly where i got the idea from, partly from strawberry's antics with the hairdryers at school.
i can't think of any needing more than 9 hairdryers. thats quite a lot of power you know. anybody else got any ideas?

How about when Elrond is at Mt Doom urging Isildur to cast the ring into the fire? His hair is flying about then stops. Maybe the hairdryer broke.

Legolas's hair blowing after Gandalf dies (fan girls swoon) Hairdryer guy next to him.
Sam sinking into river, Frodo pulls him out of a depth more than hobbit-length.-- hanging on by hairdryer cord. Wind blowing Farmer maggot's crops--hairdryer. And I've only seen the movie once.

Gee, this one seems so obvious. Gandalf. Sauron. Big battle. Gandalf defeated (for the moment) and blown to top of Orthanc by giant hairdryer.

Oops. Since I know someone will point this out - I didn't mean Sauron. I meant to say Saruman, not Sauron!
