It's German for make.
Ich mache du machst etc.

I thought Euro English was supposed to simplify English, not make it into German!

I never knew there was such a thing as Euro-English *shrugs* I do know Esperanza or Esperanto or whatever was supposed to become the official language of the EU at some point and it has been thought out in such a way everyone can learn it, but it didn't make much sense to me either.

Apparently the reason I've been sick for two weeks is that I started developing strep throat. Dangit. >.<
At least I have medicine now! Woohoo!! They gave me a cough syrup with something called 'codeine' in it, which they said will probably make me really drowsy. I didn't point out to them that I'm already really exhausted and don't need help going to sleep. When the doctor says, 'here, this will make you stop coughing,' you don't say, "Oh no thank you." |

De UroEnglish ist ein jok, Mari.
Esperanto waz basd on de Latin (ancestor of de "Romance Languages") und vas suposd to konquer de Kontinental languages in de 1920-30's. It fald mizerably. Howevr, de UroEnglish ist fun! Kandidats fur Presidant shud be abl to giv up der dependens upon de defunktd "ROME-ance Languages" fur de sensibl und rational Deutsch-lik languag UroEnglish.

Based on Latin? Couldn't tell it from the grammatical structures.

Nah, Esperanto also involves a lot of characteristics from language families besides Latin.
Interlingua, now there's a handy, simple language that's entirely based on the Romance ones! Supposedly one can read and understand it as long as one has some knowledge one Romance language, so French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese or Romanian. And the other way round, one who learns Interlingua will gain tremendous understanding of the Romance languages.

I once had a girl, Or should I say, She once had me She showed me her room, Is not it good, Varnas wood She asked me to stay And she told me to sit anywhere So I looked around And I noticed there wasn't a chair I sat on a rug, Biding my time, Drinking her wine We talked until two and Then she said, "it's time for bed" She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh I told her I didn't and crawled off to sleep in the bath And when I awoke I was alone, This bird had flown So I lit a fire, Is not it good, Varnas wood |

LOL, I get a special song, I think that means I have to poke my head in once in a while. I may be around more, we'll have to see. My other Tolkien board has basically died a slow death so as soon as I get my books out of the boxes (yes, another move), we'll see if I can work my way up to the literary threads again.
How is everyone?
