Very interesting, but I've tried to wriggle out of it!
Can I just suggest one thing. So far CS and Lotesse have both said that they're originally from Numenor, which leaves only one, which is the Chancellor. IMO it would also make sense for Aiwendis to be Numenorean, so it may be a good idea for one of you two to be from some other place. You could be a Beorning or someone from that area.

Great post, TD, I laughed like mad! Quote:
Yes, three of the Nazgul were numenorean Lords, but Tolkien never spoke of the Ladies, so they are NON-Canon all the same. Why not let them be Numenorean girls if they prefer so? And, surely, numenorean girls should be more acceptable in Tharbad than a beorning! |

Butterbeer, your PM box is full again so I couldn't send you my 3-pages message (at least Part II of it).
But, basically all I wanted to say is the following: BB, PLEASE, RETURN! You have initiated this game, it will never be the same without you. If somebody offended you, please, forgive him/her and let's start from a blank page! Gordis |

Really nice post, Lotesse - I liked the ending, and how Khamul's arrogance made him miss something that could have been to his advantage.

Thanx, CS and Rian! Yeah, Khamul really bummed her out. Viv was under the impression that they'd always worked closely & trustingly together before in the past, and she wasn't trying to "come on" to him - that is SO VERY not her style at ALL, she was trying to share some potentially groundbreaking news with him. Oh, well. He can do his own thing, then, and she'll do what she has to do - on her own. As for fancying a man, she is definitely through with fancying Khamul now, as we can note when we fast-forward through time to the future, when the Fellowship goes on their summer jaunt - remember?
Butterbeer - perhaps Beautiful Boomerang will see Viv out on her lonely pre-dawn walk? Remember, I was offended by "someone" here, too, but I swallowed my pride and decided to stay and keep writing - can't you, as well?

I think that's a great idea, BB - or you can circle around rpg-RÃ*an, if you would like. That would be nice - I'd like to have a little "talk" with the butterfly, kind of a "Boy, when I first saw you, little did I know what was coming up next!" type of reverie.
I hear you're thinking of leaving, too, BB - please don't Please stay and write for your wonderfully fun butterfly, and the widow, too And Eärniel, too ... what will rpg-Rian do without her sea-elf friend to fix her crazy ideas? (looks hopefully across the pond at BB and Eärniel...)

an apology
thanks guys.
i do not wish to refer back: but i do want to apologise for my part in this unseemly and hurtful all round PAST episode. there were at heart or at the core genuine misunderstandings ... and these escalated rather than got sorted ... but i never meant to hurt anyone's feelings, even when mad ... i just reacted ... and reacted ... and reacted ... so my apologies, genuinely. * raises another glass of ravenswood to Lotesse * |
