Well, if your serious about this, you need to take into account time differences.

Hawaii time for instance, it is about 12:30 pm.

If I were to get on for this thing, I would have to get on at a certain time, but if you say okay how about 1:00 pm Mountain time, and I get on 1:00 Hawaii time, it won't work.

So think about it, plan it, then descide whether you are "in" or not.

Sunday February 23rd
10 PM - Israel
9 PM - Norway, Germany, France, etc
8 PM - UK Time
3 PM - Eastern North America
2 PM - Central North American
1 PM - Mountain North American
12 PM - Pacific North American
10 AM - Hawaii

i dont think the times can get any better than this, any later and it will be too late for UK, Germany, France, etc., and any earlier it will be too early for US and Canada, we cant make the times able to suit to everyone in the world.

this is about the best timing we can get
does everyone agree????

I agree, but can we change it to fri./Sat. Morning (for some of you) and night (for the rest)??? Sunday isn't that good, because at least I have school the next day (or that day, for mountins of America would it be monday morning or sunday morning?)

Alright... now I am really confused. On Febuary 23 in Connecticut... I should be on entmoot at 3 pm. right? Now... is that 3pm in the afternoon, inbetween lunch and dinner? or in the middle of the night, when I should be sleeping for school?

PM is from 12 noon to 12 midnight. So AM is from 12 midnight to 12 noon. get it? so 3 pm would be afternoon. just think of AM as After Morning or something like that.

Alabama's Central time right?

Thankyou very much kind mooter! I understand now! But if AM is after morning... couldn't PM just as easily be PAST morning? I think we shouls all use military time! None of this AM - PM nonsense!

I'm in as long as it's not on sat, my dad's on the com all day and i'll never get the chance to get on. but even if it was on Sat i might be able to get on... prob not though... well anyway

im trying to plan this the best i can, i know some of you didnt think saturdays were good, some thought sundays werent good, some thought saturdays would be good and sundays werent. i dont think this can be worked out to where everybody can have the time that best benefits them, if your parents have to use the computer make a bargain with them, or if you're out of town go to the library. but planning something like this to please people across 12 time zones is hard. i think ill change this around a little, instead of having it just one time we'll have it twice, you can do it one day or both, but i think this will benefit everyone, and im pretty sure we will still be able to break the record. i was thinking about this schedule for both days

Saturday Feb 22 and Sunday Feb 23
10 PM - 22 Military Time - Israel
9 PM - 21 Military Time - Norway, Germany, France, etc
8 PM - 20 Military Time - UK Time
3 PM - 15 Military Time - Eastern North America
2 PM - 14 Military Time - Central North American
1 PM - 13 Military Time - Mountain North American
12 PM - 12 Military Time - Pacific North American
10 AM - 10 Military Time - Hawaii

this might be stupid but ya know this is the only way i can think of working this out, i will definitely be here both days, and if it doesnt work out thats cool, but tell me what you think of the new plan

Look. We already know that the most users ever online simultaneously by co-incidence were online around 23h00 CAT (Central African Time) on a Saturday. It should be easy to work it out from there.

I.e. 22h00 CET, 21h00 GMT...

Hobinator, I would up your calculations by one hour, and plan it for a Saturday. Ofcourse BoP, Cass et al would be joining us on Sunday morning.

It is certainly do-able, but I don't really see the point in breaking the record -- seems a bit too contrived to me...

Ok. I'll be on at 3 pm on Feburary 22 and February 23 (hopfully both days). Earlier someone mentioned meeting at a thread and them branching out together or in groups. It sounds like a good idea. But if we do what thread should we meet at?

ill try to be here at 3:00pm on sunday the 23rd. i dont know if ill be home on saturday though, cause most of the schools in my area are on winter break the week before.

was looking at eowyngirl14's previous posts here. note to self: she cannot tell time so dont expect her to know when she should come to your house.
