Yeah, it still about cars and since I added further hints I should think that the uncluing would soon be a done deal.

....looks around, doesn't see fresh donuts......leaves and comes back with a tray of chocolate covered donuts......takes one before Lotesse arrives
Hey is anybody else getting e-mails about a 2006 convention LOTR???? Here's a sample of what I'm getting: BIG NEWS TODAY! Mirando Otto (Eowyn) is making her very first convention appearance with us at THE ONE RING CELEBRATION: THE CONVENTION FOR FANS OF LORD OF THE RINGS coming January 20-22, 2006 to The Pasadena Center in Pasadena, California. Miranda joins already announced stars SEAN ASTIN, BILLY BOYD, JOHN NOBLE, CHARLES ROSS and THE FENIANS. And, we have more news on guests coming soon! Miranda will also be signing autographs on a complimentary basis for our WIZARD CIRCLE patrons. WIZARD CIRCLE PACKAGES are on sale now as well as PHOTO OPS and AUTOGRAPH TICKETS for Miranda and Sean, Billy and John. Now if they'd just e-mail me the money it costs to get there and to pay for attendance, I'd be glad to go.

I'm serving oatmeal here today, porridge with cream and brown sugar. There is a choice to be made now: lovely fried bread or healthy cholesterol-reducing comfort food. DAMMIT! where are those donuts, *snatches maple-topped donut* and contra coffee? Right up my alley, caffeine produced by rebels. *makes coffe 2 go with cream & sugar, grabs another chocollate-covered donut. Snubs oatmeal. Rushes off.*

Oatmeal is the best. It's one of those foods that I stock up on in my house, because it's so easy to make and easy to eat, plus it's nutritious, and all the different flavors Quaker offers never let you get tired of bland, goopy monotony. Yum. But that's probably just me.
*Snatches some oatmeal and pours some brown sugar and cinnamon all over it, leaving the remainder on the table, up for grabs.* *supplies some Quaker Instant oatmeal for the rest of us middle-class who've never had caviar*

In fact, I DID have oatmeal 4 lunch and it was excellent. It hit the spot. I'm feeling quite saddish today for some reason, and oatmeal's one of those neat comfort foods that really does seem to comfort. And it's guilt-free food, too, unlike fried bread. If I'd have gone for donuts instead I'd be not only saddish still, but wracked with miserable guilt too for having eaten donuts. This is the kind of day I'm having. That I'm even siting here talking about the lunch I ate is testament to my bored and saddish mood today. I wish my friend would hurry up and come home. I am so lonely without her, I miss her so.

Here is a picture of a Monarch butterfly. They are so intensely photogenic! No Monarch butterfly ever takes a bad picture. They just don't have bad hair days, you know? I've been seeing a few of them lately here in Manhattan Beach, hanging around. I didn't take this photo, though - wish I had. I need a much stronger zoom lens for these kind of pics.

That's the only butterfly I can actually identify. ("There's the monarch, and then the other butterflies...") I think they were abnormally common (ha! oxymoron!) around here for two summers in a row once, or something like that, and they were all over the place. I loved it.
I have a picture that I keep wanting to post in the "evidence for evolution" thread, but since I don't post there ever, I always feel that I shouldn't just show up saying "hey look at this!" And now my photobucket account won't let me log in so I can't post it now either.

The butterfly is rather cute... I've never seen a Monarch. All I get around here are small ones, white, blue, pale yellow, and rather sweet. I don't know their names though, we call them all by the same name.
I've been meaning to ask something for some time, but I didn't know the right place for it. Since this seems to be a place for general chit-chat: How do the staff members become staff members? Is there some test they have to take? It would be fun to know... I see oatmeal before me, Lotesse holding it enticingly, but I've never eaten it, and I'm rather scared to taste it... but the donuts sound nice

But oatmeal is such comfort food! Except I like to use honey instead of brown sugar... sometimes I have to talk myself out of eating it for lunch!
