Well... to tell you the truth, I'm a bit jealous of humans. *sigh* I've been so long in this world and the pain of loss beats on me and wears me down. But I can't choose now can I. So, quit rubbing it in!!! |

well now gauranteed 150 years? i would study Alchemy and use myself as a test subject to find the elixir of life (150 years BAH i want more dammit )
now the good me would do something respectable helping people, but the bad me would create a great criminal empire, uniting the Triads, Yakooza and Mafia under my rule and then reap the rewards and buy a country that i will make my home... hmmmmm another ploy in direct contrast to that would be the Boondock Saints approach and kill all the crims and pimps of this world...

That's quite a few years yer giving us to play with
I'd definitly invest more time into learning to play musical instruments (at the moment I can only string a few chords together on a guitar and twittle about with a penny whistle). Experiment more with wine making (old winyards anyone?) Experiment more with painting (there is a frustrated artist in me somewhere........trouble is he's still fasinated with play-doh ) Write more. Contemplate the mysteries of the universe. |

Well, that's another story all together. Perhaps that wouldn't be so bad to be Atan and be 150 yrs old. Though, I've seen some icky looking Atan at 40-ish. |

Well, I fully intend to live forever anyway ('twould be a shame to let this brain rot )
I'd likely spend a bit of time remembering what I'd put in a certain dish & hell, maybe even go through all the trouble writing down some of my concoctions (and for sh*ts & giggles I'll publish a cookbook for students ) Invent the perfect cocktail (a quest I'm currently on anyway) Take pottery lessons Start a garden (and try not to kill it within a week) Take singing lessons - not that I think it would help at all, but me drunken warbles might sound a bit more palatable to the neighbours at 3 AM (note that screeching Queen's "Bicycle Race" at the top of yer lungs at such ungodly hours is not a great way to make friends with yer neighbours - banging on their door to ask for a lighter thereafter is even worse & coming back 5 minutes later with said lighter to beg for a smoke is likely to get a 'wanted' poster of ye up at the security office ) Work on me poetry more Travel to each & every 'small town' in the world - I have this fascination with small towns - they have such charm. Though I could never settle down in one (I'd end up being that crazy woman in the corner that each little place in the world seems to have). Starting in SA of course - there are some choice places here with the strangest names; like Hothazel (pronounced Hot As Hell) and it REALLY is hot as hell (temp can go up to about 45ºC in summer), Pofadder (Puffadder - I'd love to figure out why a town would be named after a snake like that), Geluk (that means either Happines or Congratulations - I wanna figure out which one of the two), Eerstelingsfontein (directly translated it means 'Firstborn's Fountain' - I'd hate to be a second or third child here ), Driemanskap (that means 'Threemanship' - a town devoted to threesomes? sheesh) etc etc etc Go to a live concert of every band I've ever wanted to see.

If I live to be 150 in perfect health, the world will be very different. Either me or my geography teacher will be ruling the earth, and therefore either everyone will be worshipping the Grantness of Lord Grant, or all animals will have free rein of the planet.

If every one lived to be 150 and not a day older that would be quite grusome (sp?). Imagine knowing exactly when you're going to dye ("Well, this is my last day of living, might as well make it good, since I'm going to pop my clogs tomrrow").
If I lived to be 150, I would make it a point to scare younge peple out of the wits. hehehe. I would also like to go into acting, then start a BIG horse farm after I'd retired. But, considering I'm only 12, I am still planning to do the above even if I don't make it to 150. |

I would us my hard-earned widsom and sagacity as a cover for passing on spurious advice.
eg: when visiting London always stand on the left on escalators in the Underground: Taxi drivers expect to be haggled down to about half of the fare they first quote, etc

I don't know AE, That might be too long! I'd settle for 90! At late forty, I already feel "old", because youth is over-celebrated and the *wisdom of age* has been swept under the rug (in western culture) Even though I (hopefully ) have a good thirty years left, they don't look to be exciting ones! How do I get rid of the "Been there, done that" attitude! Try new things! At my age!
I guess if lifespan was 150, you'd work to earn your living till 135 or so....So we could have several careers, I can't imagine it! What would we do with all the people! There would be several *generation gaps*! Imagine knowing your great, great, great grandma and grandpa! That would be wonderful! Trippy! Last edited by Lizra : 07-03-2003 at 08:35 AM. |

Too right, though if I lived to 150 I might not feel like I pulled my thumb out of my arse a bit later then I should.
And I'd learn to type things correctly first time...
