A thing of beauty, I must say. The performances were absolutely astonishing, so were the special effects (isn't this the first trailer were we get to see some CG action?). Music was great too, especially in the council part.

Had to download 37 megs...30 for trailer and 7 for Qtime v 5...toook almost 15 minutes with DSL...! I liked this trailer! See frame by frame analisis at official site!

WOW!

In my opinion, it is spectacular. The special effects and cinematography look unbelievable. In addition, all the actors seem to have nailed their parts.

There is the issue of Arwen's expanded role in the films (you see some of this in the trailer). However, I don't think this is going to detract from my enjoyment.

This thing may actually live up to the hype!!!

The large video wont work, and the smaller one all I get is sound, and your posts about how great it is isnt helping! how do I fix it?

Tater....I think that a .sit is a PC zip file. You should have downloaded the .zip file. The only thing I know to try is to drag it into your stuffit expander app.

As far as I can tell, if you want a saveable version you need to download either the .sit file or the .zip file. To be on the safe side download the .zip file if you have a Mac and the .sit file if you have a PC. To just watch the trailer without being able to save it (and to wait less time for the download) you can click one of the files under "watch it now in quicktime 5". You must have the latest version of quicktime to do this.

Okay, I have no idea what I am talking about. Macs can download and open .sit files no problem...I just tried it worked fine.

Tater...what do you use to unstuff/unzip files?

I just found out that I needed to update my stuffit expander, hopefully doing that will fix my problem

Oh my God! Just awesome! Absolutely incredible! Even better than the 2nd, which was fantastic! If the trailers are any indication, this film is going to be a 10+! The visuals look stunning. The music sounds excellent! Great acton sequences! I cannot wait until December 19th! I love when Legolas pulls back that bow! Gandalf looks and sounds great! I love how the trailer ended - with Gandalf on the bridge screaming "You shall not pass!" and then slamming his staff down into the bridge. That part is going to be awesome!

Great googly moogly! After having some problems (you only get audio in anything below QT 5) I've finally made it work, and seen it at least 10 times today! There's no way these movies won't rock! I don't wanna get too optamistic, but can ya help it? YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tater says that you only get audio if you run it with anything less than Quicktime 5...are you sure that you have the very latest QT version installed?? If you are unsure go to apple.com and download it anyway. It only takes a few minutes to get the update.

I think this pretty much confirms, yet again, that from a visual perspective, someone will finally do justice to LOTR on film.

I have... almost a gripe... about Elijah Wood, but besides that... oh, man.
