And the way he invented golf was amazing.

That whole passage is the embodiment of why tolkien is a genius. He takes these serious things and makes them so funny. I mean he invented golf by knocking off an orcs head and it fell in a hole and tus golf was invented. I mean how great of an idea is that. ALso the shire would be perfect for golf. You can just see Bilbo, Frodo, Mery, Pippen, And SAm out on the greens together shootingg some holes. That would be hilarious.

I'd say Merry he sounds like a natural golfer.

I have to go with Bilbo or Merry. Merry because he seems like he would be perfect for the game and Bilbo cause he would need to do soemthignall those years in the shire and he would have probably gotten very good at it.

Yeah I can just imagine it.

Frodo: Very Good Bilbo, an eagle.
Bilbo: Eagle. That reminds me of the Battle of the Five Armies.
Merry & Pippin: Here we go again.
Sam: (stares watery eye at Frodo and Bilbo)

maybe the gaffer would do well Im sure he would qualify for masters competition. Or maybe he was Biblos (oh whats the name for the person who travels around with the golfer with his clubs) oh well you know what I mean.

It wouldn't make much difference, them both being the same height an all.

I think it would come dowwn to MErry or Bilbo. Bilbo on experiance and Merry juct because he seems like just the kind of guy who would be great at golf. Sam would probably be the frustrated guy who always lands in the sand or water.
