Well, since this has been brought up...I added an example of a post-specific link to mine, to help me when I want to make one, and also a link to the topic on fantasy writing on the 'Moot.

I don't know what's in anyone's sig anymore.
I ended up turning off sigs after seeing too many "One line of post and ten lines of sig" posts. |

A rather appropriate song I thought... given the current events. "I'm afraid of Americans."

this thread is a let down because most of it consists of people crowing about their signatures that they no longer have (some people have done it 5 or 6 times in fact). Maybe people should actually post the signature they have at the time of their comment with their comment then it wouldnt be so frustrating/confusing reading 90% of the thread.

Cool sig., Coney. Pink Flyod ROCKS!! ( sorry, got a little overexcited there)
I choose my sig. cause I'm very against war, battle, guns, ect. Also cause I really like that song. Anyone but me ever heard of Phil Ochs?

Good idea, IRex.
Please post your sig in your actualy post so that later when your sig changes, your post will still make sense. "And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave." It's the last two lines of the last verse of The Star-spangled Banner--because I support our troops in Iraq, as well as the president's decision.

"And so they stood on the walls of the City of Gondor, and a great wind rose and blew, and their hair, raven and golden, streamed out mingling in the air" --RotK, The Steward and the King
As my signature says, it comes from The Return of the King, chapter The Steward and The King. It is a draft from the part where Faramir and Éowyn stands on the roof of the Houses of Healing in Minas Tirith, when they understand that they love each other. One of the greatest part of the whole trilogy, if you ask me!

My favorite poem: All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost.
ARAGORN LIVES! because he does. They fought like warrior poets. They fought like Scotsmen. My favorite line from the movie Braveheart. I change my sig a lot. Later.....

As Insidious Rex said earlier, please post you current signatures, in case you change them in the furure!. It will also be a lot easier for people like me, who have turned signatures off, to understand what you are talking about in your posts.

Been there, came back again
Well--I was away from the moot for a time, and now I'm back. I bit of a spoof off of "There and Back Again" Only Tolkien fans would understand. Wanted to put the song "Your Body is a Wonderland" as my signature, but it's a tad long...must find my favorite verse...or perhaps a lovely poem like "A Dream within a dream" by E A POE Descisions --
