OOC: Just lead the Dead at them. They might run... or the might of Sauron might force them to fight anyway.

The Lord of the Nazgûl fled from the battle in the face of the light of Earendil. Arriving in Minas Morgul, he began to marshal the armies of Sauron for prolonged war. The tiny force he had led to Gondor could perish; he had no need for it.
Tiny though it may have been in comparison to Sauron's total power, the army on the Pellenor was proving to much for the Rohirrim and Men of the City. Gandalf did his best to inspire and intimidate, but could not stem the tide of the battle. Soon, even without the Witch-King, the Orcs had surrounded the City and its defenders. Eomer ran skirmishes with the horsemen to tryand keep the armies back, but it seemed to be of no avail. The net of Mordor moved closer and closer, until...

A horn was heard and a force of about fifty elves charged into the ranks of the orcs toward the city. It was Elrond and the Noldor (Gwaith-i-Mirdain) of Rivendell. The orcs fell back from the fury of the elves and the city gates opened to admit them A few orcs slipped in but were killed almost instantly.

Faramir, who was commanding the City guard, looked on in shock. "Elves?" he said. "I did not know that the forces of Elrond were coming to our aid."
Gandalf arrived at that moment. "The hand of Sauron is growing longer, Faramir, and it is time for all to join and resist him who would not be his slaves. You have allies, even if you have not sought them." "You speak truth," said Faramir. "Let us fight together, then." The men of the City stared openmouthed at the Noldor who had relieved them. Most had never seen Elves before; certainly none had seen a fully clad Elven warrior in the armor of the Gwaith-i-Mirdain. The elves poured concentrated fire into the ranks of the Orcs. Screaming in rage, the army ran against the walls again and again, but in vain. Sitting behind the Orc legions, however, the Men of Harad were more patient in their attack. Preparing cautiously, and slowly, they began to move giant siege engines towards the city. The giant mûmakil pulled ballistas and catapaults into the battle, and towed a giant battering ram toward the gates.

Elrond spoke quickly to Gandalf, telling him of the rest of Rivendell's force under Glorfindel, waiting to meet Fmbren and the rest of the elves. "I pray they arrive soon." "As do I" muttered Gandalf, "As do I..."

The battle reached a pitch as the battering rams drove towards the gates. Gandalf gathered many defenders of the City to him behind the walls. They planned to charge out as soon as the enemy was right there.
"The gates open outward" said Faramir. "We shall throw them open, catch the enemy by surprise, and destroy this foul siege engine before it can break the Gate."

Elrond agreed. "We must destroy it but still leave the city guardsa at the gate. Otherwise we will have no escape. I hope that Fimbren, Thranduil and Glorfindel arrive soon. They have no idea how they are needed."

ic Our army raced throguh the paths of the dead. The army of the dead followed us as we made our way towards Umbar for our attack. The dead creatures were fast for those of the desest(sp) and took good pace with our horses. We made our way towards the Havens of Umbar.
*So what army awaits us there and is someone going to meet us there?*

ooc: Sicirius, do you remember in RotK the part with the paths of the dead? Just wondering. It gives a little more info there...
ic: Nargond and Aragorn raced side by side with the dead, they could feel, following them. But they were not yet seen. THey came to a hill, and upon it strangely stacked rocks. Nargond dismounted and climbed up onto a platform formed with rocks. "I call for the attention of the inhabitants of these paths!" he shouted. "Long ago my kin assisted your kin in some now-forgotten quest. It was after this that your kin made a pact with mine. I must now call upon this pact and raise you from your resting places! I require your assistance in a war against Mordor!" He could hear the moaning, but knew that it was not negative. THe Dead knew the consequences if they did not act upon his request. And so he rode off to Umbar again, with renewed confidence

OOC: Can we at least end this. Either all die or have the elven army arrive and someone (Not necessarily an elf, ) kill Sauron.

Possibility: Evil Borg go back in time to Middle Earth. They destroy the felloship AND Sauron. They take the Ring.
OOC: Interesting, but not very likely. Still, it's funny.

It's just been the four of us anyway for a while... here goes:
The elves arrived and beat the cr*p out of the orc army. The rest of the army of the west went to Mordor, had a huge battle, and won. Sauron got his other ring finger chopped off and fell in the volcano clutching it. Everyone was happy and a lot of people left over the Sea. The end.
