humm, hummm, hummmm. Time for a little housekeeping. First, I want this table over HERE, so people can be seen through the window...move the potted plant over. Gosh, this wall is dirty. *goes for paint*
Ah! That's the thing. New palette for a new year. Is that a bearing wall? *squints suspiciously at wall*

You nitwit...
A load bearing wall is a wall that contributes integral support to a structure, as in, it carries wieght on it. Therefore god help you if you knock it down, if you even damage it a little you could quite literally bring your place down 'round your ears.

Have a great New Year everyone! I'm amusing myself by watching The Secret.
For those of you who are curious, this is the secret: if you focus on the negative, that is what you will notice in your life. If you focus on the positive, that's what you'll see. You probably knew that already. It makes sense. If you think positively, you will be a lot happier than if you think about unhappy things. The problem with the movie is that it basically takes this Wikipedia article on the Law of Attraction and made into a nice, shiny movie. It should be noted that this is not a scientific law (duuuuh). Man this movie is dumb. I'm going to turn it off and listen to the Crash Test Dummies. Hey! Maybe there is something to the secret after all! I wished they'd clam up about their stupid theory, and lo and behold, they did! The powers of my mind are great, ph34r me!!!!1eleventy

I won't attempt to unriddle why quantum mechanics should be dragged into this, lol, but as a matter of psychology, it's undoubtedly sound, except when used for placing blame.
A folk version would be: All a pickpocket sees is pockets.

Famous Conspiracy Theories of Entmoot
Famous Conspiracy Theories and Groups of Entmoot
Groups: The Rohanian Grove: According to this conspiracy theory, all the powerful elite of Entmoot (admins, moderators) gather at a secret spot in Fangorn, take off all their clothes, plan more evilness, and barbecue the last banned person. The Twigs and Branches Society: This secret society's members all decide to support each other and become rich and powerful. According to rumor, all the members have to wear a diaper made of bark for three weeks straight in order to become a member. The Frog Croak Group: This is a non-governmental group that is said to be behind all the legislation passed by the Entmoot Government. A Super-large lobbying group that bribes Entmoot officials with promises of year-long vacations. The Build-A-Burgers: This society is made up entirely of overweight people who are secretly lobbying to make Burgers the official food of Entmoot. Council on Foliage Relations: This group secretly advises the Entmoot government to go to war for fun. Conspiracies: Claim: The Government of Entmoot is brainwashing all Entmootians through their consumption of Teacup Cafe liquids. Story: At the beginning of President Hector's term in office, an order was put in place to have all drinks contaminated with brainwashing stuff so that voters would turn into voting automatons. Is it for real?: No evidence has sprung out of the grass for this one, though one Entmooter claims he the guinea pig for the testing. Claim: The Government of Entmoot is behind the phenomenon of spamming. Story: The purpose of this is to blame spam on more Mooters so that they can be banned, and thus, barbecued when time comes for the meet-up in the Rohanian Grove. Is it for real?: Lots of Mooters have dissapeared and their bodies have never turned up...but there is a graveyard of bones somewhere in Fangorn. Claim: The Government of Entmoot controls all manufacturing of chocolate products. Story: Rumor has it that Administrator Earniel is so consumed with the greed for the taste of chocolate, that she has seized all businesses that produce it. is it for real?: You betcha. Claim: Moderators, such as Valandil, disguise themselves as other Mooters in an attempt to influence events. Story: You may remember that earlier a week before, a certain Mooter named Santa Claus dropped by to give everyone their "gifts". In reality, this was Valandil making good use of all the brainwashing material that moderators have hidden under their beds. Is it for real?: Well duh. Claim: The Government of Entmoot plants "monsters" underneath people's beds to make them wet the bed. Story: Not much to tell. Is it for real?: Just go to the bathroom before bedtime and you should be fine. Claim: The Government of Entmoot is allowing BoP to run loose, because it benefits from the pulling of pants. Story: Many may not know this, but there is a tax on pulling pants; up or down. Everytime you do so, the government's secret cameras take note, and you receive a bill in the mail. Since BeardOfPants is such a pant-pulling fiend, the gov't lets her loose rather than jailing her. Is it for real?: wear a belt. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE...WAY OUT THERE.

Hector, I think it's very sad that you have been SO evil, in your short life, that you don't even get a VISIT from Santa.
Add that to your conspiracy list Santa Doubters claim: There is no Santa story: Despite long years of evidence supporting the existence and special powers of Santa, some malcontents look for mundane explanations of his beneficence, in an effort to undermine the faith of others. Is it true: Of course not. Santa exists, even if he doesn't visit hector. Never misses my house.

Santa exists. He does.
... but God help him if he doesn't drop by my house at some point tomorrow with a package I've been waiting for. >.< |

Yeah, Hector, I hate to break it to you but in all seriousness, Santa was not a member of the administration or moderation staff .

All the travel, sane. Santa has administrative issues, occasionally, it's a big operation.
