Reasons Star Wars is better than Titanic
With the new Star Wars film coming out, I thought I'd post this list. No offense to any Titanic fans, but I didn't care for it all that much.
1.Titanic's big, but it doesn't have hyperdrive. 2.Leia is a senator, a princess,a freedom fighter and has Jedi potential, Rose is just marriage bait 3.Ewoks throw better parties than first class *or* steerage 4.When flying toward the Titanic, Wedge can't say, "Look at the size of that thing!" and really mean it. 5.It would be much scarier to get chased around the boat by a madman waving a lightsaber as opposed to a guy with no aim waving a handgun 6.Titanic is egalitarian by portraying poor people as sympathetic characters. Star Wars by promoting a bug eyed amphibious alien to Admiral 7.Said bugeyed amphibious Admiral manages NOT to lose his ship 8.We know Cal is the bad guy because he sneers at the poor and treats his fiancee like property. We know Darth Vader is the bad guy because he can strangle people without even using his hands and blows up whole planets for fun. Take your pick. 9.There are always enough escape pods in Star Wars. 10.Yeah, Leo can dance, but can he fly an X-Wing? 11. People have not lost their lives trying to recreate scenes from Star Wars on the bow of a cruise liner. 12.Rose braves icy water to rescue her man. Leia offs Jabba the Hutt 13.Two words:John Williams 14.Do you know what the Empire does to self-proclaimed "kings of the world"? 15.If Luke were handcuffed to a pipe belowdecks in a sinking ship, he'd use the Force to get the key 16.Heck, Yoda would just lift the boat out of the water with the Force. 17."I'd rather be his whore than your wife" just doesn't have the same sting as "I'd just as soon kiss a Wookie" 18.We knew the boat was gonna sink. But who anticipated "Luke.... I am your father." 19.And finally...Han Solo would've missed the dang iceberg!

Star Wars has a plot!!!
(Sorry, I hate Titanic) Whoever wrote the Titanic score needs to die! My cousin can play it on piano!

Two words: No Leo.
There are sequels. How would you make a sequel to Titanic? I'm sure they're working on it. Two more words: George Lucas.

Any sequel to titanic would likely involve jombies, giant sharks, time travel, or aliens. Or a combination of the four. It's hard to do a movie about a ship that's already sunk.

Yeah, I think that it's the highest grossing movie of all time. I've never really sat down and watched the whole thing. I've seen parts of it though. I turned over to NBC when they showed it just so I could see the ship sink. Star Wars is better, anyway.

Titanic S*CKS!!! It's just an ekcuse to show nudity and sex! It grossed me out! Star Wars is way better and cooler. Darth Vader Rules! And Titanic was just a love story, it barely comes close to the real story! Die! Die! *straps Titanic video to dynamite sticks and lights te fuse* Burn Baby! Burn!

Titanic made me feel a bit queasy, and it wasn't the drowing people
eek. It's not like one even needs those reasons to point it out, and the lack of Leo certainly makes it obvious, but they were very amusing. . .hee hee Arathorn, be very glad you missed it.

Err.. is it really fair to compair an older movie in the romance genre to a brand new action film and decide which is better?
Obviously Star Wars is/was better.. but it's like you're comparing sharks to snails.. two completely different categories.

Sigh
Your congeniality always makes my points trivial and useless. Well, at least you're smiling and not grinning diabolically

Yes, it had no (okay, very, very little) redeeming qualities. Therefore I propose we pick it apart mercilessly and compare it unfairly and unjustly to a great movie(s)

Perhaps if Leo had turned to the Dark side, there might've been an interesting twist in the plot
