Anarion
What happened to Anarion? Did he die with no heir and Isildur's heir owns Arnor (as Aragorn 2 rules Arnor), Or what?

He died in Mordor, I seem to remember that he did have an heir. But over the years his line died. Meanwhile Isildur's line continued and we all now where that went Um.. is this even the a good answer?

Meneldil
Wasn't he the King of Numenore, father-in-law of Erendis (UT).

Both are right. There was a King of Numenore with the Name Tar-Meneldil. And later one the eldest son of Anarion had the same name Meneldil.

Anarion died in the war of the last Alliance. And, if you read Appendix A of TLOR you will find a complete history of the southern line, including the fall of the last king Earnur when he rode out to challenge the witchking to battle in Morgul vale.

More specificallly, he was killed during the Siege of Barad-Dur. He was struck by a stone thrown from the walls.

Earnur, the next to last king in the line of Anarion, had a daughter, who married Arvedui, last King of Arnor. When Earnil died, Arvedui asked that the Realms be combined, but was refused, and the Ruling Stewards came into being. So Aragorn is descended from both lines.

Ondoher the last but two King of Gondor had a doughter, Firiel, that wedded Arvedui of the north.
After Ondoher and his two sons were killed in battle with the wainriders Arvedui claimed the crown of Gondor. But the truchsess Pelendur moved the council of Gondor to give the crown to Earnil the victorius captian of the south army how had rescued Gondor. He was also of the descendant of the Kings in male line. Regards Findegil |
