"Temporary" Venting Thread IV
I actually wanted to call it "The Not So Temporary Venting Thread" but I guess this will have to do.
Go ahead and vent. It's healthy.

Heh, Original thread started was Elfmaster XK (We think).
Vent: FARK! My ring, my most favorite ring has seemingly vanished. This is not fun. And I had something akin to an asthma attack when tearing up my room looking for it. AAAAARG!

Meh, the first results for Jinx are in: kidney failure. Somewhat expected, but still a blow. He's not that old yet, only nine. At least it's treatable as long as he keeps eating, says the vet. I hope to high heaven he'll like his new diet food then. Have to collect that and his medication tomorrow, that's going to take some adjusting. Results for the virus testing won't be in until monday.

I hope your cat recovers soon, Eä.
Sometimes I wish there wasn't an ocean between us.. And I hate when it's about money, but I guess I'll just have to make the money happen. Guess that's where I'll invest my extra money *grin*

Ugh! Stupid, useless Moon! What a pointless waste of matter... The most unaesthetically, unpleasant iron-cored ball of old planetessimals that ever wasted sunlight so and blotted out all of the stars for several days a month due to its ugly, annoying radiance.

I told my sister that I had a date for two weeks from today. She said "Oh, I thought you weren't going to date, I thought you were going to stay Catholic."
I said I didn't know, that I was trying to work things out and figure out what the right thing to do was. And she said, "If I see you out on a date, I wouldn't know what to do." To which I said, "You could always come over and say hi." To which she said, "Um, if I see you on a date and someone asks if I know you, I'm going to say I have no idea who you are. That's too weird for me." Know what I wanted to say? I wanted to say, "Well I'm sure you wont have to worry about it. The chance of you being asked on a date by anyone is non-existent, so we'd never meet at popular dating spots." But instead I smiled and said, "It's okay, I understand." What I understand is that you're either my friend all of the time, or none of the time--I don't do this in-between crap. Last edited by Tessar : 05-22-2008 at 11:06 PM. |

I hope you have a great date, Tessar. Too bad you're not getting support from your sister.

I OBJECT! 'Temporary' is supposed to be in quotes, thusly:
"Temporary" Venting Thread IV The people of Entmoot cannot break from their ancient traditions. They are what connect us with thus who have gone before (Darth Tater, of blessed memory). They are the foundations of our society. They are the threads (no pun intended ) which hold us together. They are what define us as a culture. They are the reason Entmoot has not dissolved into dust. We must take up the old ways as they are given to us, and THAT includes putting "Temporary" in quotes! Somebody fix it!

If the "" in the title are the only thing you can vent about, you're one lucky person.
Not venting myself today. Jinx seems to be liking his diet food for the moment. That's a good step forward. Just have to make sure he gets his medication on time.

Tessar, honey, she's not your friend, she's your sister. That's a different kettle of fish. If you were her friend and she saw you on a date, she'd say hello, and if people asked, she'd say, "Oh yeah, didn't you know Tessar is gay? I hope that guy treats him well, he deserves it."
Since she's your sister, she's REALLY concerned that you grow up to be happy and successful, and believes everything you do reflects on her. That's way more complicated. And it's just how family members are. (and young best friends, sad to say). So in that position she can expect friends to treat her as though her brother has a fatal illness or joined the circus if she's 'outed" in that way. Het's have a process around this stuff too, and very few role-models. It just takes time. And remember, too, you like to pick your times to deal with this stuff...other people do, too. In the long run it'll be okay, I'll bet. Not to say you shouldn't vent about it. Definitly entitled to that. ((((HUGS for Earniel and Jinx)))) and hope you find your ring, Sane.

Sarah, that's awesome. When my cat had to eat medical cat food, he wouldn't.

He doesn't mind the diet food, he eats it, but not enough. He's lost much of his appetite, whether it's the usual food or the diet food, he's barely eating a third now of what he used to gobble up. But if he doesn't eat, he won't gain weight. He fell from 5,5kg to 3,8kg the last few months. he has to get that back to stay healthy. We never thought we had to worry one day whether Jinx would eat, he was always the least picky one about food.
And of course it doesn't help that Chefren is patrolling to eat everything Jinx doesn't eat immediately.
