Apple vs. Apple
Anyone want to weigh in on this topic? It's a little lighter than the other topics. It could be fun. My opinion. It's a different logo. Apple Corps doesn't have a case. Just because Apple Computer settled out of court in 1991 doesn't mean they would have lost. Besides, Steve Jobs should just buy Apple Corps and be done with it. I know that Neil Aspinal is still very close with the Beatles' widows and the surviving Beatles, and I wish them well, but frankly, they would be better served by an alliance with iTunes than attemting to re-invent that particular wheel. |

And I agree with you. It was always a silly idea goin' after the macintosh/apple when they started doin' the music thing.

Money-grubbing. Another example of how trademark/copyright laws are so anti-freemarket.

Apple Corps (beatles empire) keeps tryin' to sue Apple (macintosh) because they think that Apple's iTunes/Music Store is too similar to what Apple Corps does. The irony is I'm pretty sure that Steve Jobs is a great admirer of the Beatles, and probably named his company after Apple Corps.

I realize now that this belongs under Entertainment. If an op will move it... thanks
Well, Apple Computers won the case. Now Steve Jobs says he hopes Apple Corps will sell their sons on iTunes. I hope they do. |

In other news, North American apple producers sue Apple Computers for stealing their logo.......
I just made that up. Apple Computers won the lawsuit, and now I think they (the company) are morons. Multi-million dollar companies shouldn't be so petty, time-wasting, and silly IMNAAHO*. Anyone else get a reaction like that? Also, I don't think iTunes is all that friggin spiffy either. Bah I sayz. i'm really not sure If I know of a more retarded case than this one...
1)Apple Crops. () cut it out, let Macintosh be. 2)Did Apple C. seriously think that Mac was going to stand by and watch others prosper in the music business when they could do better? It all comes down to jealousy. Apple Crops () is practically dead. I really don't know why a reasonable person like Paul would help this case get ridiculous like it is...
