Who is the Necromancer?
In the Hobbit Gandalf briefly talks about a guy called "The Necromancer", he tells them to stay away from his dark tower. Who is the necromancer? Sauron?....

Yes you are right. The Necromancer is Sauron. He was Named so before the Wise discovered that the Lord of Dol Guldur was Sauron himself.

Yes. Gandalf says at the council that "we learned that the Necromancer was indeed Sauron" or something of that sort.

Aye. They first taught, that he was one of the Nazgûl, but when Gandalf went to spy him in his fortress of Dol Guldur, it was found out, that he was, indeed, Sauron.
Later on, when Sauron had fleed from there to his old residence at Mordor, it was taken over by one of his servants; Khamûl, the Black Easterling. Second in command after the Witch King of Angmar. |

Yes I agree that the necromancer was sauron but i believe because sauron is always associated with dead people.

Sauron wasn't always associated with death. He also's been associated with werewolves, vampires, door to door ring selling, backroom politics and large scale warfare. And he used to worked for Aule better known for his wife.

Sauron wasn't into law-think of him more as a consultant. Tolkien said he was a (very) overzealous reformer.

I didn't know they existed anymore. I thought they had all been wiped out by a plague sometime in the second age.

Why would Gandalf even speak of Sauron. They weren't going anywhere near Mordor....I don't even remember that part in the book...
