The Matrix
Well, this movie came out quite a while ago, and I am surprised that no one posted on it. It is one of my favorite movies ever! The special effects are awesome, the plot was great, and the best part is it kept you guessing.

I think there's two threads from before around here somewhere...one about Matrix, and the other one about Matrix vs Star Wars comparison thing. If I weren't lazy, I would find them and merge this, but I am.

my brother's friend burned him a DVD of the Matrix and i was about 20 minutes into when it stopped. so then my brother tried to fix it so i watched it again but it stopped at the same place so i haven't seen more than the first 20 minutes.

I liked the Matrix and I thought that Hugo Weaving was so cool. My brother got it for Christmas this year, so I have watched it pretty recently too. It is a very good film

Me and my bro love this film. I love all the stunts And the complexity(sp?) of the idea of the matrix. I cant wait for the Matrix Reloaded. Its gonna be great.
Did you know that there is going to be an ani-matrix? There are 3 short films. The first two will be on the internet but the last might be put in cinemas. They are going to be kinda high quality cartoons and the last will have computer animated people and stuff. The clips i have seen look really good.

apparently there are going to be two more Matrix films, both out this year. The second one is 'The Matrix Reloaded' (as Hanza mentioned) but i don't know what the other one is called. does anyone know the actual date of release?

I just love the first movie and I'm really looking forward to the next two.
We soon shall watch the first one again - in our catholic lessons (I don't know how to call in english). Our teacher says that Matrix has something to do with god and believing. Well, let's see.

The Matrix is one of my favourite movies.
For some reason, i love sci fi movies but hate the books. I love fantasy, and i know that they are similar but i just can't read any sci fi books. Actually, i might have read some but they were more fantasy. The Matrix is so original and fascinating. It's not confusing like so many people say it is |

Ah, it's a wonderful time to be a geek.
The Matrix is certainly one of the most influential (and most poorly imitated) films of the past few years... it left a lot of room open for the sequels, though, so hopefully that's capitalized upon.

Quote:
Neo = Jesus (the Saviour, the One) he even died and was brought to life again (Neo was dead for 3 minutes, Jesus was dead 3 days) Cypher = Judas (Jesus' betrayer) Morpheus = John the Baptist (his prophecies of the One) Mind you, they also put Buddhist themes in, like the whole "if you belive it then it is true" stuff (there is no spoon...). This site has a lot of indepth stuff on the Christian parallels if you're interested.
