I got freaked out by a lot of things when I was younger. Such as 'Where the Wild Things are' and the movies the Witches, the Mask and Mrs Doubtfire. Hmmm. What illustrations does 'Where the Wild Things are' have? I seem to recall a lot of monsters that were purplish? Maybe my memories are mixed up. Not the first time.

Well, I still have all my Dr. Seuss books. I got rid of all the others.

The books I find when I clean my room are usually the recently read ones. My childhood favorites all have places of honor on my book shelves. Some of my old favorites are the Flower Fairy books, Scat Cat, and the Seven Stages of Childhood. Rather obscure books but very sweet and all three of them contain some really gorgeous illustations.
