Happy Thanksgiving - but it doesn't count yet because it's not midnight on the east coast. You're not supposed to start these threads until it's midnight.

It's been Thanksgiving for almost 14 hours now! So...happy Thanksgiving everyone!! From me.
A query to all fellow vegetarians- How are you doing Thanksgiving? I am surviving on all of those wonderful meat-free side dishes. I love mashed potatoes so much! Anyway. Since there's so much to be thankful for...be thankful! And have a great day!

as a fish-eating person, i'm having salmon stuffed with lobster... but i'm not really a veggie, as i eat fish and the occasional bits of stuffing
living in the pacific northwest, salmon only makes sense

Happy Thanksgiving, from an Alabamian who is currently in VA! We had a wonderful dinner today, the pumpkin pie was delicious! We have been putting up Christmas decorations, and I think I heard my aunt say that we're going to decorate the tree now, so I'd better go...

Aww, poor thing *pat Elenka* If you survive, tell us how it turned out.
I had a fairly nice Thankgiving, until my baby cousin turned off the game my two other cousins and I were playing. (Legend of Dragoon, if anyone cares.) We were sooooo close to finishing too... and then, we started yelling in dismay, and my dad thought we were yelling at each other, so we can't play TLoD anymore. Piffle. As my more mature cousin said, "This, is a nightmare"

As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably. Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia. Cheers! |

How was the Thanksgiving food for everyone? I had the best dressing and cranberry sauce. Oh yeah, and some pecan pie too.
Hey, there are more people from the Heart of Dixie on here than I realized.

Well, in MA it's still Thanksgiving, seeing as it's only 10:38 pm, so here's to hoping you all had non-disastrous Thanksgivings! Me, well, it was okay. The heat wasn't on until around 3:30 pm. It was 25 degrees outside (Fahrenheit, not Celsius), and 50 inside. We had no fuel oil. So I stayed in bed most of the day, where it was nice and warm. Ate lots and lots. Happiness.

all in all, it was rather enjoyable. The irritating relatives ended up on the other end of the lo-o-o-ong table from me, so I didn't have to talk to them during dinner
the gravy was normal, the turkey was excellent, the fridge didn't break, and the oven didn't either. my Aunt did manage to show up with the funniest looking Jell-o, though. Aforementioned irritating cousins drank all the eggnog. excusable in a 7 year old (maybe), but at age 20? Favorite aunt and uncle came--nice surprise, and hugs all around.

I celebrated (is that the right word) first day of Hanuca today. The date of Hanuca is getting changed from one year to another, and sometimes it's after Christmas, but sometimes in thanksgiving. It's just another calendar.
In the hebrew clendar, after two or three years we add a month to the year, because the jewish calendar have about 10 days less then the christian. Happy thanksgiving!! by the way. |
