I'd like to be able to give you a good solid list, but it's probably mostly 'by gut'. But we do look for people who are somewhat established here, who seem somewhat mature and capable of dealing with the various situations that might arise.

And - in all honesty - I think there are a LOT of Mooters who could be great Moderators. So none of you should feel slighted because we settle on someone else. We've got a lot of great members, and we appreciate that.
