How do you write description?
I'm curious what techniques people here use to write description. How does it flow, for you? What makes it work well, when you write it?
I personally am particularly interested right now in how to write vivid battle scenes. I've written a book and I feel like its action sequences are somewhat weak. Mainly that's because it feels like the bones of a drama, and I need the flesh and blood on it. I'll post a scene here so you guys know what I mean.
